What actually Corona Virus is?

Introduction:

As we all know that in today's modern and fast-growing world where everyone was so busy in their daily routines and we all were just running and working every day, all of a sudden all our lives stopped when a deadly virus known as Corona Virus (COVID-!9) identified and spread in the city of Wuhan, China and after that, it has spread almost all over the world and has now become a pandemic globally. As of 10 May 2020, almost 4.02 million cases have now been reported in 187 countries resulting in a large number of deaths throughout the world while most of the people have also been recovered.

False information about the virus:

Today we see every next person talking and discussing the virus whether it is right or wrong as this is the age of social media and technology that every person is open to say anything through social media but we don't verify that whether the information a person is sharing with us is authentic or not and this false information is causing more harm than good. For e.g. In the month of January 2020, a video clip became viral that the Chinese being affected by the COVID-19 started barking like dogs and were behaving like animals but it's not true because, according to doctors Corona Virus doesn't affect the brain, it affects our respiratory system. In the same way, many other people are talking about the cure of COVID-19 through different things without any research and all these methods are false.

What actually Corona Virus is?

Now let's discuss the basics of this disease, so Corona Virus was first discovered in the 1930s whereas COVID-19 is one of its species. There are about 20 species of Corona Virus and most of them do not affect human beings. There are 8 species that cause harm to human beings while 5 are dangerous and cause great damage. This virus was first discovered in animals in the 1930s. It was first found in chickens and caused respiratory infection in them. Later on, in the 1940s it was found in mouse, and in human beings, it was first found in the 1960s and was called human coronavirus and the first time the word "Human Corona Virus" came in the print media was in the year 1968.

Types of Corona Virus:

1) SARS Corona Virus:

It spread in the world in the year 2003, it was started in 2002 in China and lasts till 2004 and after that, it was not seen anymore. It was declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). The death rate was 9.55%

2) MERS Corona Virus:

It spread in 2012 and it harmed about 2494 people in the world and about 858 people died. It spread in 24 countries. The report came in 2019. The death rate was 34.4%

3) SARS 2 or COVID-19:

It is the most deadly species of all the Corona Viruses. It was discovered and notified in WHO at the end of December 2019 and then cases started to keep rising globally. This species of Corona Virus i.e. COVID-19 is still new and we are not completely aware of its details. The researches are being done throughout the world to find its vaccine and its treatment so only the doctors who are specialized in that particular area have the right to say anything about this type of disease and we shouldn't believe in any false news and information about COVID-19 as long as it's not verified from the authentic and official sources. The data of the patients that have been infected by this virus recovered and the number of people died is continuously changing so we can't give any exact figures of it.

Conclusion:

Based on my experience, I would like to request you all that whenever we get any information than the first thing we should have to do is to check its reliability that whether the information is verified or not. We should not believe in the statements of every next person without any investigation and research of our own. By doing so the false and misguided information spreads in society and has consequences in the whole world.
