(1) Savitri Bai Phule

Savitri Bau Phule was married to Jyoti Rao Phule at the age of 9. After marriage, Savitri Bai completed her education and became the first female teacher in India. With her husband, she started a girls' school in Pune. At that time, it was not customary to educate girls. But Savitri Bai always continued her struggle for girls' education. He was from Maharashtra. She also spoke out for women's rights. Savitri Bai had also done many things to end caste and gender discrimination in India, in which her husband had always supported her. According to documents, Jyoti Rao Phule had given Savitri Bai Primary Education at home. She is also called the country's first female headmistress. She was born on January 3, 1831, in Naigaon village of Satara district. And passed on March 10, 1897, at the age of 66 in Pune.

(2) Kanak Lata Barua

During the "Leave India Movement"(1942), Kanak Lata, 17, opposed the British and unarmed villagers in her village. They aimed to hoist the Indian national flag at the local police station. Officers at the British-occupied police station warned people that if they made the mistake of hoisting the flag, they would face serious consequences. The mob, led by Kanak Lata, was not ready to leave the police station. Kanak Lata hoisted the national flag. To disperse the crowd, British police put fire on Kanak Lata, killing him on the spot. Kanak Lata has been counted among the martyrs since this incident. A statue of her with the national flag is also installed in Gohpur, Assam. She was martyred on September 20, 1942. She is still remembered as a brave woman.

(3) Anna Chandy

Anna Chandy, who belongs from Tarunanthapuram, Kerala, is also known as a "first-generation feminist." She was the first Indian woman to be appointed as a judge and then a judge of the High Court (Kerala High Court). In her time, she has influenced hundreds of women across the country. After her, many women began studying law. Anna was also the founder and editor of "Shri Mati" magazine. With the help of this magazine, she also raised her voice for women's rights. After retirement, she joined the Law Commission of India. He died on July 2, 1996, at the age of 91. She also wrote her autobiography, which was published in 1973. Even today, women are inspired by reading her book.

(4) Anandi Bai Joshi

Like Savitri Bai, Anandi Bai was also married at the age of 9. He was from Kalyan, Maharashtra. After marriage, she moved with her husband to Kolkata, West Bengal, where she learned to speak and read Sanskrit and English. Her husband advised her to continue her education. So Anandi Bai decided to pursue a medical education. Anandi holds a medical degree from Women's Medical College of Pennsylvania. And became India's first female doctor and the first Indian woman to receive a medical degree from a Western country. This brave woman passed because of Tuberculosis just at the age of  21.

(5) Asima Chatterjee

Asima Chatterjee from Kolkata became India's first female scientist when she received her Ph.D. in organic chemistry. He spent most of his life developing medicines for malaria and epilepsy. He has authored numerous research articles. In 2017, Google paid tribute to him with a doodle on his 100th birthday. He died on November 22, 2006, at the age of 89. He has won many awards during his lifetime.
