Coronavirus was the worst nightmare for the entire human race in the 21st century. peoples could never have imagined that they had to face such kind of pandemic in this modern and technologically advanced world.
this forced every human being on this entire planet to lock themselves in their homes either willingly or forcefully. peoples started to get bored in their homes and the gaming business boomed because peoples didn't had anything to do at their houses.
this list is about the games that were mostly played the peoples during lockdown around the world. this list is not about ranking but only to give information about games that become popular.
MINECRAFT
Minecraft is sandbox game which was developed by Mojang. it was released in platforms like xbox, playstation, windows, ios and android. there are 200 million copies sold and 126 million monthly active users as of 2020.
In minecraft players explore a blocky 3d world with infinite terrains and may discover and extract raw materials, craft tools and items, and build structures.
depending upon game mode players can fight with computer controlled "mobs", as well as co operate with or compete against other players int the same world.
game mode include a survival mode, in which players must acquire resources to build the world and maintain health and there is a creative mode in which players have unlimited resources and they can almost create everything in creative.
the player can also create those unlimited resources in survival modeby finding and crafting those resources. palyers can also play in multiplayer mode which is the most popular mode of this game.

FALL GUYS: ULTIMATE KNOCKOUT
Fall guys is battleroyal game developed by mediatonic and was released on platforms like windows and playstation 4 on 4 auagust 2020.
this game was deleoped by taking inspiration from Takeshi's castle, it's a knockdown and wipeout.
60 players can connect around the world to compete with each other with there jellybean like character which is customisable and has features like jumping, grabbing, climbing or diving which runs in a 3- dimensional playing field.
The aim of playing this game is to qualify each round by completing each of the randomly selected mini games. certain mini games require players to run towards finishing line at the end of the map and players face obstacles during running to make gameplay little more complex.
players who are slow falls into pink slime or unable to qualify in that round gets eliminated for the next round. the winner of the match is the last player standing.

AMONG US
Among us is a online multiplayer game which was developed by American game studio innersloth. it was released on the platform like ios and android on June 2018 and on Microsoft platform on November 2018.
the game was also released in Nintendo switch in December 2020 and has planned to release for xbox one and xbox series x and y.
the game is played in a space themed setting in which all the players come together in which mostly are crew mates and predetermined number being imposter.
the goal of the crew mates is to identify the imposters in order to eliminate them and complete tasks around the map. the imposters goal is to sneak and kill the crew mates before they complete all their tasks but if the imposter is spotted killing any crewmate he/she will be eliminated from the map by the votes of the crew mates.
players can also guess about the imposter and can vote to eliminate that imposter from the map.

PUBG: PLAYERS UNKNOWN BATTLEGROUND
PUBG is an online multiplayer battle royal game developed and published by pubg corporation.It is available for platforms like Microsoft windows, android, ios, xbox one and playstation 4.
In the game upto 100 players join and left onto an island to scavenge for weapons and equipment to kill by protecting yourself from the other players.
the available safe zone or area of the games map decreases in size over the time to direct the players into a tighter area to force the surviving players to compete with each other while protecting themselves.
thus the last player or team standing wins the round. this game also features modes like solo vs squade, duo or with small teams upto four players. there are four maps in battle royal of approximatley 8x8 kms, 6x6 kms, 4x4 kms in size.
the players can also customise the weapons, vehicles, armour and other equipments in both battle royal and multiplayer modes.

ludoking is an indian free to play video game application developed by indian studio Gametion technologies pvt. ltd. it is available for platforms like ios, mac os, android, windows 10 mobile, windows 10 and also windows phone 8.
the game's aim is to modenise the board game ludo which is based on the ancient indian game.ludo was first released on february 2016 on the apple app store and is ranked no 1 in the top free game section.
it also became the first indian game to pass 500 million downloads.
ludoking has 4 modes:
1. vs computer: in the vs computer mode the player can play offline against the computer.
2. local mode: multiple players can play together offline
3. online multiplayer: In this mode the players can play with players around the world
4. Private multiplayer: In this mode the players can play in private rooms created by them with there friends or selected players.
