Here, I will explain the fact about what everybody is curious. Everyday we see some interesting facts out there. Some of them we colud explain, some those were remained unexplained. One of the explainable facts is why are the buttons on Mens' shirts on a different side than the ones for women? Here, I wil discuss about 3 theories behind this fact.

You can easily find an explaination of this interesting fact if you watch the movie 'Downton Abbey'

In this movie you could see that a maid is helping her lady master to wear her dresses.

Actually, the fact is that it was a time when wealthy women were accompanied by their maid for their daily necessaries. They used to help the lady master in every parts of life. So, it was easy for the maid to hook up the button if the buttons are on the lest side.

But, Mens' are usually hook up their buttons by their own hands so the buttons are on the right side. Basically, only the wealthy women were used to wear dresses with buttons once upon a time. It was easy for the servants to hook up the buttons if it were on the lest side.

Breast Feeding
Women held their babies with their left hands, leaving only their dominant right hands free.Buttons were, therefore, on the left to make things like breast feeding easier.
Theory: Three
RIDING SIDESADDLE
Women who rode horses often rode sidehaddle on the left. The left oriented button reduce the amount of airflow into a women's shirt on horseback. This is why women used to wear shirts which has buttons on the left.
These old conventions simply haven't changed since the old time. This is a old tradion and today we kept it like the old one.
