The PHC emphasizes the importance of early detection of cancer

The Early Detection of Healthy Living program, the National Initiative for Early Detection of Breast and Bowel Cancer by the Primary Health Care Foundation, aims to encourage and remind men and women of the importance of screening for breast and intestinal cancer. In line with the ongoing efforts to combat breast cancer, the Early Detection of Healthy Living program targets women aged 45-69 who do not appear asymptomatic to encourage breast cancer screening. If the results of the tests are typical, participants are advised to return the tests after three years. If the findings reveal abnormal indications, participants will have to follow up with their PHC doctors. The doctors will then refer them to Hamad Medical Corporation for further tests.

As part of its commitment to workforce development, the Primary Health Care Foundation, in collaboration with the Qatar Cancer Society, is organizing the Continuing Education and Development (CPD) event, which aims to highlight the importance of early diagnosis of cervical cancer. With the participation of several specialized colleagues from the Ministry of Public Health and Hamad Medical Corporation in this area.
