Yes I'm talking about Virat Kohli- The king of world cricket. In 2008, when he was just 19, won Under19 world cup for India as a captain. We all saw that aggression for the first time ever but no one could have imagined that chubby little boy will be a cricketing legend oneday.
His favourite dish was butter chicken in his younger days and he was a cute little bloke. Yuvraj Singh had given him a nick name that is "chheku". Anyways he has given up on his favourite dish and became vegan for his fitness. He sacrificed many things for his fitness and the national duty he has in hand. He got his debut match for India in 2008 after that under19 WC but soon got dropped as there was no place for him at that moment but with his consistent performances for India earned him a spot in the senior Indian team again in 2009 and then he scored his maiden ton against Sri Lanka. Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli put on a mammoth partnership and won the game for India scoring centuries.
As time goes on he became regular in the team for his consistency and he scored a century in his debut world cup match against Bangladesh. After that he never look back again. Scored tons of runs everywhere. India won the 2011 world cup, won 2013 champions trophy. He was part of the team when India won the Asia cup in 2012 where he scored his career best 183 against mighty Pakistan bowling line up. His passion and dedication towards the game makes his a very special cricketer. He has soon become #1 ranked batsman in ODIs & got the test caps too. His Australia tour was not so good until he scored a ton in the 4th test in Adelaide then he has become a pro in tests as well.
In 2016 he became India's full time captain in all 3 formats & the Kohli era begins...... After that he kept breaking records at will both as a batsman and as a captain. Virat Kohli become first captain to win a test series in Sri Lanka after almost 28 years. India won a test series in Australia for the first time under Kohli's captaincy. India won back to back 11 series at home. They were upbeaten in tests for almost 2 years & gained the #1 rank in tests and still holding it for more than 3 years.
Virat Kohli has scored 70 international centuries so far and That's some staggering record. People compare him with the god of cricket Sachin Tendulkar. He has broken some of his records and if he plays 4-5 years more at least he'll definitely break more records of Sachin Tendulkar. He's broken some of the unbelievable records made my Sir Don Bradman. Virat Kohli's technique was never in doubt; he always had the sound technique and the way he plays the cover drives n straight drives are really treat to watch. The whole world is the fan of Virat and he's the most followed Indian celebrity on Instagram,so he's breaking records everywhere.
He's married to the Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. They first met on a add shoot and then they were in relationship for few years then married in 2016 with a grand style in Italy. Their bonding is so strong and they are real couple goals. They've gone through with lots of trolls and controversies but their love for each other has never faded. It only got increased. Virat Kohli is a gem of a batsman on the field no doubt but as a person too he's incredibly good and respectful. He's aggressive on the field and so humble off the field. Now he's become an inspiration for millions.
