Sports and well-being

Sports are one of the easiest ways to build perfect health and a muscular body. One should at least participate in a game at least once in a weak. This will surely develop our health and boost self-confidence. When one engages in sport, he or she doesn't feel bored rather than one who involves in the gym. It is not that the gym is waste, but games are more enjoyable and engaging than the gym. Where you are alone in a gym, in sports you are a team there is no feeling of loneliness and boredom. For instance, just say that happiness gets multiplies to the number of people involved. What happens when we win, we get a win, but when we lose, we get to experience. The principal idea behind sports is not to win or lose but to gain experience and make your self better each time than the previous time. One learns to socialize and mingle with people and get a sense of fraternity and uniqueness and togetherness. It teaches a sense of unity.

Individual team sports like cricket, football, etc. boost our self-esteem and make us a team man. They teach us how to make a proper strategy and plan as a team. One wins as a team and loses as a team. Unlike the gym where we are alone here, we socialize and mingle with different types of people. For example, in a cricket match having 22 players 11 on each team. If it is a 20 over game (each over has six balls), say two groups A and B. Suppose a wins the coin toss and elects to bat first. In that case, team B fields and bowls. The match 1st inning concludes, and A team scores 161 for the fall of 4 wickets in 20 overs. The credit for this 161 runs does not go to a single specific player, but the whole team shares the achievement. Now, team B comes to bat and scores 162 for the fall of 5 wickets in 19.3 overs and wins the game.

Similarly, in this case, also the winner of the B team does not get credit to one player, but it credits to the whole team, batsmen, bowlers, fielders. In the same way, A team's loss doesn't credit to a single person but the entire team's performance. This creates a motivation for team B and team A players to feel a sense of support from the whole team.

Sports, other than maintaining physical strength, even improve our mental health and keep us fresh and motivated. As we saw above, that the team's morale got affected. A team's morale was lowered, and the B team's confidence was increased. Also, these sports help us to rejuvenate and relax from the busy and posh city life where we are around the office, school, or other workplaces. There is hardly any day off for us, and when we get a day off, we waste it on mobile phones and other worthless activities, which harm our lives. So let's now make a resolution to involve in a sport at least once a week.
