Should business houses do social responsibilities

Business and its responsibilities. 

During the 20th century, business houses were compared and seen on the bases of profit and growth. But nowadays it not like this anymore. People judge businesses by the works that they do for society. 

We all know that it is imperative to live for not only ourselves but also the society. We have to maintain peace and harmony. Same with the businesses, they have to keep the dignity of the community and support the economic balance in the world. 

But the question arises, "Why should businesses take care of the society?". The reason is simple: To survive in this competitive world. Social responsibilities, like giving the right working conditions to the employees, paying taxes on time, behave nicely with the customers, and reducing pollution, help a business to grow faster and earn profits more.

You might think about how a business can earn more profit by doing social responsibility. It is simply that people like those business firms who are caring. Take an example, We, as a customer will want to go and visite those shops in which shopkeeper respects us, sell the items at a reasonable rate and behave with us nicely. We will not go to that shop in which we are not given respect, and the seller sells items at a high rate and forces us to buy things, just like this person, like those businesses who perform social responsibilities. 

By performing social responsibilities, business houses earn:

1.A good image in the eyes of people, 

2.A better environment for business, 

3.Avoidance of government interference, 

4.Social power, 

5 Contribution to social problems.

Even Bill Gates said in one of his interviews that once he became a billionaire, he wanted to have that money in his much bank account that also if his company faces loss in the coming three years, he will be able to give salaries to his employees. Bill Gates didn't care about the profits and money that he earns, but he cared about his employees and thus became one of the wealthiest people on Earth. 

Therefore business houses need to do social services and take care of society.
