For a long time, India & Japan have close relations & cultural ties and we can see it in the religion things.
(1) Ganesha & Kangiten :
Due to Indian mythology, Ganesha has the right to first worshiped and before doing any good work people worship Ganesha and get a blessing to fulfill the work without any problems. Indians celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi as the birthday of Ganesha every year. One of the famous Ganesha temples in India is Siddhivinayaka in Mumbai (Maharashtra).
Otherside Japan has also God-like Ganesha his name is Kangiten. He has the same body posture like an elephant head, Bigbelly, and many other things. Japanese worship for Goodluck and better fortune. You can see the sculpture of Kangiten in Kyoto.
(2) Saraswati & Benzaitensama :
Saraswati is the Goddess of knowledge & wisdom. According to Indian mythology, she is a part of "Trishakti". Trishakti means three Goddess 1st is Goddess of knowledge, 2nd is Goddess of Money & Prosperity and 3rd is Goddess of power. For many years Indians have been worshiping Saraswati for getting knowledge. The most famous Saraswati temple is in Jammu & Kashmir which is a part of 18 maha Khaktipeeth in India.
In Japan, Benzaiten is the Goddess of music & Knowledge. The original Characters used to write her name read "Biancaitian" in Chinese and "Benzaiten" in Japanese. She is one of the seven Gods of fortune when the Sino-Japanese Characters used to write her name changed to (Benzaiten), emphasizing her role in bestowing monetary fortune.
(3) Bhairava & Bishamonten :
According to Indian mythology, Bhairava is the God of war and aggression. He is an aggressive form of Lord Shiva and he is the guard of Shaktipeeth. At each & every Shaktipeeth Bhairava has his own place and importance. People worship Bhairava because he destroys negativity & evil things. The famous Bhairava temple in Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) is known as the Kaalbhairava temple.
In Japan, Bishamonten and just Bishamon are thought of as the armor-clad god of war and warriors and punisher of evil things like Bhairava. Bishamon is portrayed holding a spear in one hand a small pagoda on the other hand. In Japan, he is one of the Seven Lucky Gods.
More than 80% of Japanese God same as Indian God.
