The popularity of Smartphone Photography

The smartphone is the most common gadget that we use daily. Brands have been working hard to improve their smartphones continually.  And the cheap data rates in countries like India have helped smartphone manufacturers grab the market. Because of the competitive data and so much competition in the market, all the smartphone manufacturers are trying their level best to acquire customers as much as possible. And to do that, smartphone brands are offering the best possible specs at the lowest possible price.

So, consumers are also getting a lot of options to choose the perfect smartphone for them. Well, all customers have their own needs, but probably there is one feature that almost all smartphone users are using nowadays more than any other element, and that is the camera setup on their smartphones. Even a few years back, the camera performance of a smartphone was probably one of the most underrated features, as it was impossible to believe that smartphones would be able to capture photos and videos in such amazing quality as they are shooting now. But due to the drastic improvement of technology over the last few years now smartphones have improved a lot, and so it is the camera performance. We must agree with the fact that everyone cannot afford a professional DSLR or mirrorless cameras.

But, now, due to the high competition in the market, buyers are offered amazing smartphones, even in the mid-range segment. These phones are not only top in terms of performance and build quality but also provide amazing optics. Nowadays, even in the lower mid-range segment, we find smartphones with quad-camera setup, 48/64 MP primary sensor, dedicated night mode, electronic image stabilization (EIS), various software features, and the list goes on and on.

If you have the budget to go for a flagship smartphone, then you can expect some pro-grade photography and videography experience from your smartphone. A lot of digital content creators are using their smartphones to create fantastic content for various platforms like Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok, etcetera, on the go. And now, that is the most significant advantage of having a smartphone with excellent camera capabilities.   In the flagship-grade smartphones, we also get some more amazing features like optical image stabilization (OIS), video bokeh mode, excellent video stabilization, and full-fledged expert mode, which gives you complete control over your photography.

So, if you are interested in photography and videography, then you do not necessarily need professional DSLRs and mirrorless cameras. If you have a decent smartphone, that would be enough for photography and videography.
