Prime minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit the border positions in Kashmir on Diwali.
PM Modi has spent his past Diwali festivals with jawans in different locations along the borders with Pakistan and China.
This year also, PM Modi is likely to visit army positions on the Line of Control(LoC).
Last year, PM Modi had visited the border positions of Uttarakhand. After taking over as prime minister 2014, PM Modi visited the Siachen Glacier base camp on his first Diwali as the PM of India.
Every year, the plan of the visit is kept secret and the place of visit is revealed only through his twitter handle.
The prime minister visits the jawans and distributes sweets amongst them.
