What is Mind And Muscle Connection

Let us Begin with a Quote from a 35 times Natural Bodybuilding Champion Moji Oluwa. The quote goes like this

"We are Bodybuilders, not Weight Lifters."

So there is a definite difference between a Bodybuilder and a Weight Lifter. A bodybuilder's main focus goes on the Muscle that he/she is working, on the other hand, a Weight Lifter concentrates on weight. 

As you can see, there is a subtle difference between a Bodybuilder and Weight Lifter. A Weight Lifter's main focus becomes upon getting or taking the weight from point A to point B, whereas a bodybuilder gives full attention to the muscle that is being worked. 

So we can say in the case of a Bodybuilder, the technique for mind and muscle connection comes into play. Now you might raise a question what Mind And Muscle Connection is?

What is Mind And Muscle Connection?

Simply put, the mind and Muscle Connection is a Deliberate and Conscious Muscle Contraction. It is the ability to focus the tension during exercise on a specific muscle or group of muscles, in easy words paying attention to, being mentally aware of the target muscle that one is working. 

But actually, the concept Mind and Muscle Connection goes a long way from the simplified theory given above. It is the process of achieving muscle growth without doing any physical exercises or Workout. 

This might seem impossible. But there is a scientific explanation to back every word I said regarding MMC. 

In the year 2014, a study was conducted in Heritage College Of Osteopathic under the supervision of a researcher, Brain Clerk. In that study, all the participant's wrists were wrapped in surgical casts for four weeks. The two groups were formed. One group was instructed to visualize flexing their immobile wrist for 11 minutes, five times a day. And Another group was told nothing to do. 

When the study results came out of the group that practiced the Visualization technique, their wrists were found to be twice as strong as that of the group who did nothing. So this study showed a piece of strong evidence that there is a secure connection between the Mind And Muscle with or without Workout. 

Since we are working our muscles, we should consider exercise or Workout integrated to Mind And Muscle Connection. 

How to create Mind And Muscle Connection at the time of Workout: Since we have decided to integrate the MMC factor with Workout, now the question remains how to implement this technique at the time of Workout successfully. 

I have come up with an Equation to make this concept successful. The Equation is given below and also explained for better understanding. 

Happy Mind+Focus+Muscle+Contraction=Muscle Growth

Happy Mind: Workout needs to be performed with happiness. Without a happy mood, performing exercise will simply not work. 

Focus: One needs to have undivided attention or focus at the time of performing the Workout. 

Muscle Contraction: This is the most crucial part. Without enjoying muscle Contraction or feeling it, it is hard to increase muscle size. Contract and Squeeze the Muscle being worked is the primary way to grow Muscle. 

So if anyone follows the above formula and incorporates Mind And Muscle Connection at the time of Workout, they are guaranteed to experience muscle growth.
