Mahendra Singh Dhoni Is Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army. MS Dhoni is a famous Indian cricketer and cool captain of India. Dhoni had many awards and rewards with is excellent performance in his career. He is also serving in the Indian Territorial Army. In every year MS Dhoni has taken a two-month sabbatical from cricket to serve his unit.

Territorial Army is an important defence system. It is a second alternative of the Regular Indian Army. Territorial Army accepted Volunteers usually serve in uniform for a few days every year. The Indian Territorial Army was established on 9 October 1917. The modern Territorial Army was inaugurated by Rajagopalachari on 9 October 1949. 9 October is celebrated as the Territorial Army day. Territorial Army profession is a gainful employment with great honor. Territorial Army was differentiating with regular army in few things like age, gender, duration and ranges. Territorial Army plays an important role to relive regular army from the duties.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a famous sports person and he was the former captain of the Indian cricket team, Territorial Army has provided the honorary rank of lieutenant colonel to M. S. Dhoni. He got this rank in the parachute regiment of the Indian army. He became a qualified paratrooper after having completed five parachute training jumps from Indian Army aircrafts in the Agra training camp in 2015. In July 31 to August 2015 Dhoni was completed the assigned patrolling, guard and post duty in the in the Kashmir valley as part of Victor Force.

In August 2019 he completed a two week stint with the Territorial Army in Jammu and Kashmir. Dhoni completed the duties of patrolling, guard and post duty and would be staying with the troops. Dhoni is a brand ambassador of the Indian army, he provides motivation to the soldiers and he plays football with the troops.
