How To Study When You Don't Fell Like It! 7 study tips and techniques for students motivational.

In my opinion, two things can spoil the preparation of your exam.

First: The exam's stress being near when you realize that you have very little time to complete such a large portion.

Second: Boredom. For the next few weeks, in fact, for months, you have to read continuously, and because of that, you will be bored terribly. Of course, there will be days during this when you will feel highly motivated, and you will actually enjoy the reading process.

But there will be some bad days when your progress will be plodding, and you will feel completely demotivated and exhausted.

Here are some unique tips that will maintain your motivation levels and help you keep the studying process enjoyable.

Number 1: Mind Maps.

Mind maps are a way of note-making and summarizing, which is fun and helpful. Suppose you started reading a new chapter, and you got bored in a while, so you make mind maps to avoid boredom. What will happen is, along with reading, you will get to do something fun and creative. Take a white sheet, and write the name of the chapter in the center with a pen or pencil, and mention the sub-topics in the form of different branches. When you cover those sub-topics, write the important keywords or key points related to it, under the branches. By doing this, you will be engaged in the process of making the diagram beautiful. This way, your chapter will also be completed, and your notes will also be made. Later on, you can revise this mind map, and if needed, you can also modify it.

Number 2: Try to do at least one task for the day.

I understand because of online studies, there is a lot of pressure on the students, and sometimes because of this pressure, they feel discouraged and demotivated. But if you are doing just one task in a day associated with your main study goal, that will be more than enough. You don't have to do everything. Do one thing only, that's it! For example, in your board exams, if you want to perform well, so throughout the day, do one chapter or exercise related to it. And if you are focusing on NEET or JEE preparations, then read any one thing related to it. You need to choose a goal for yourself in this environment, either board exams or NEET/JEE. Otherwise, you will be crushed between homework, classes, and coaching. Start the day with this mindset, that today I have to do one task, which will lead me to my main goal. This will center you. If you are feeling directionless right now then, this will help you think clearly. This will release the stress inside you and keep you disciplined, and your health will not be compromised.

Number 3: Lower your expectations.

If you study with a mindset that, today, I have to finish this book under any circumstances, then what will happen is, you will give up in a while. Because even before you start to read, you have put so much pressure on yourself. If you don't want to study, you have to, then motivate yourself to read a paragraph first, then one page, then one chapter, and then chapters. It is essential to start here to build up your confidence and continue with your studies. Another technique that will be helpful to you and that is the Pomodoro Technique. Whilst you were planning to read for 10 hours, now reduce that to 25 minutes. Try to focus for the first 25 minutes, and then move forward.

Number 4: Group Study.

During this time, online group study is prevalent. But considering that you already stay in front of the screen for a long time, I don't want to give you more excuses to stay online. But what you can do is you can call a friend and discuss a topic or a chapter, or you can test each other. This is a perfect way of revising and recalling things, and at the same time, it will also maintain a competitive spirit. So in this way also, you will get the motivation to study.

Number 5: Go for a walk and have something nice to eat.

There was also a time when children used to go out and play. First, mobiles reduced its chances, and now the pandemic has ended its scope. I have emphasized that maintaining your body's energy levels is very important; only then your body and brain can work on their optimum level. So instead of sitting at home all day, go out for a while. Go to the terrace or walk in the garden, but get out of the room. To stay outside, close to nature, being in open space is a very positive experience for your body. This is a perfect way to relax your brain, and this will also improve your concentration. Along with all this, treat yourself. If you are not in a good mood, keep some food options at home, which will help you stay focused, like a sweet or an ice-cream, or any snack item, keeping your taste buds happy and satisfied.

Number 6: Sleep.

You not only face boredom while studying but also face frustration. You are quietly sitting and doing your work, and suddenly a friend called who is frustrated, or you had an argument with someone over the phone, or you faced some problem at home, which will divert your attention from the studies. So, I would strongly suggest that you do not force yourself. If you are feeling bored and frustrated and cannot study, then don't study. Sleep for some time. Sleep for 15-45 minutes, that's it, neither more nor less. Trust me; it works like magic! When the phone hangs, you restart it, so when you sleep, your brain will also restart, and you will feel refreshed and recharged all at once.

Number 7: Change your study environment.

When you study in one place only, you will feel boxed and frustrated. So it would be best if you kept changing your study environment. According to scientists, this will improve your memory because the brain connects information with different locations, and it becomes easy for you to recall things. Along with this, to remove the silence and the boredom of your room, you can listen to music while studying. When you study subjects like maths, physics, or accounts, it is harmless to listen to instrumental tracks, and it will uplift your energy levels and mood.
