How to study efficiently?

Here are 7 points to be followed for effective and earlier studying.

1. Choose a study spot.

A study place plays an important role. Do not sit and study in an comfy place as it will make you feel lazy and soon you will get distracted. Choose a study spot, study there consistently. With time, your brain will get used to that place and when you sit there, it will automatically get prepared to grasp new concepts and result in efficient studying. A study desk, chair, a light lamp will constitute a perfect study spot.

2. Sit with all your essentials.

Whenever you sit down to study, gather all the essential requisites you may need. Make sure you have your pensils, pens, ruler, erasers, highlighter, and other study essential before you sit down to study. For example, if you wanted to highlight an important point and not find a highlighter, you would go in search of it which will waste your time and you will get distracted. So collect your essentials to avoid any type of distraction in between your studies.

3. Take mini breaks in between.

Whenever you sit down to study, do not study continuosly for two to three hours. Take mini breaks in between. It is proven that you can concentrate only for 20-30 minutes. So, after 20-30 minutes of studying, take a mini break of 5-10 minutes. You can drink some water, eats some nuts, stretch yourself, listen to music in that mini break and then get back to your studies!

4. Find out what type of learner you are.

Finding out what type of learner you are will really help in efficient studying. Some students are visual learners. They can learn better when taught with animation, pictorial representation etc. Some are auditory learners. They do not require any further assistance, just listening with concentration will do. Some students require extra efforts and practice. Once you find out what type of learner you are, you can work on it, improve yourself and make your studies more effective.

5. Set your daily target.

Setting a daily target and sincerely following it will not only help you to complete your syllabus but will give you confidence to do more. Get up early and plan your day. Set your daily target, try your level best to complete it. If you succeed in following your target, you will have mental peace and confidence in yourself. So set your target now!

6. Be an early bird.

Morning time is the best time to study. It is scientifically proven that your concentration will be at its peak between 4am - 6 am. You can cover more concepts in lesser time. Many students prefer late night studies, but that may effect your sleep cycle and cause you dark circles and stress. So, it's better to get up early and study rather being awake the whole night, disturbing your routine.

7. Have a disciplined lifestyle.

Last but not the least, follow a disciplined lifestyle. Try to eat more healthy, exercise to keep your body fit, follow your hobbies, get up early and plan your day. Following a disciplined lifestyle will keep you fit not only physically but also mentally.

Follow these points for effective and efficient studying.

Happy studying!!!!
