How to spend your vacations wisely?

Done with your exams and looking for ways that could make the best of your vacations ahead?

With days that were hectic enough to not being able to even breathe peacefully, having just assed by, it is now time for you to relax and comfort yourselves in the best possible way.

But, guess what. Even this might get boring with time. After all, sitting idle isn't that easy a job, right? It feels all good doing absolutely nothing for a few days and lounge around. But have you ever wondered how will this help in you getting to experience things that you always wanted to and cherish the same for a lifetime?

Gone are the days when vacations were just limited to visiting your grandparents, relatives or even family friends for that matter. What we need to realise here is that there is so much more to it. The more time you invest in spending your vacations wisely, better the person you emerge out to be, undoubtedly.

It is highly uncommon to not think of things you'd want to do with the commencement of your vacations. But unveiling the truth here - what most of us end up doing - Grab a cup of coffee and a huge bowl of popcorn, make yourself comfortable and watch series or movies all day long. Do we even realise what time of the day is it while being glued to the screen?

Also, if you find someone yelling at you for all the obvious reasons (straining your eyes by gazing the screen continuously, no sleep cycle maintained, not having meals on time, no physical exercise done and so on), yet you end up doing the same thing for you think there is no better alternative available than to watching movies, then this is the right place for you. GO AHEAD. Ways to make your vacation lively are just a read away.

START FRESH

Instead of being one of those lazy lads who give least importance to whether it is in the morning or afternoon that they are waking up, be someone who gives a kick start to the entire day. Wake up early, go for a walk, inhale some fresh air and some excellent results are surely on their way.

There are numerous ways you can choose from to start your day on an energetic note. Yoga, meditation, exercise - choose whatever suits you the best and it will work wonders.

GARDENING

Okay, so this might sound a little sceptical, but, hey do you know how peaceful can it get if you spend some time gardening? If no, then you should surely try your hands at this and see the results for yourself. Needless to say, gardening will relieve you of all the stress and at the same time make you productive. Gardening is an excellent way to soothe your mind and provide you with all the positivity that you have been longing for.

BRING IN THE CHANGE

All of us might be comfortable the way we are but who knows that the change you are thinking of bringing in your life might actually change you for the good. Change your dressing sense, get yourself a makeover and if you find this apt, then let that be the new "you". Also, you never know, this change that you incorporated might leave you confident than ever.

VISIT ORPHANAGES / OLD AGE HOMES

This hectic and fast paced life has surely gotten onto our nerves. Having said so, do we consider it important to think about those little kids in the orphanage and those old people who probably need utmost care and attention? Take some time out of your schedule and spend some time with them. To your surprise, you would want to visit them as often as you can.

Seeing them lead a happy life despite the obstacles that came their way will make you feel light and full of positive energy. You might even start looking at life from a different positive angle altogether.

TRAVEL

Needless to say, this hectic life has left us with minimal time to spend with our loved ones. How about planning a holiday? It is absolutely blissful to explore places and if you have your family accompanying you, then that has to be a cherry on the cake. Travelling is so much fun. Getting to know different places and meeting new people across the globe is an experience in itself.

However, it is very much possible that a family trip is not happening due to a number of reasons. Well, it shouldn't bother you at all. You can go on a solo trip and, this experience, my friends, cannot be put into words. And for some reason if you think that a solo trip too stands a low chance to happen, then there is another option available in your kitty.

There are several camps available and they take people along who are willing to travel with others (who they may or may not know). In this process, you meet new people, make new friends and most importantly share an experience that just can not be explained. Also, when you come back you realise how much you have grown as a person. This experience will make into the list of those things of our life that you will never regret.

INTERNSHIPS / COURSES

Now the very first thing that might come to your mind after reading this could be - why would I want to ruin my vacations? But, hold on. You surely wont regret if you find courses that match your taste. Now, here is the catch. The courses that you might involve yourself in could be anything - dance, music, drawing, etc.or internships that might help you grow professionally. Eventually, what matters at the end of the day is you learning something and utilising your time wisely.

DO IT YOURSELF (DIY's)

With numerous platforms now available wherein one can indulge in for making something creative, you are not only invesing your time in something that is productive but also putting forth your artistic skills.

These are just a few of the many ways in which you can make your vacations lively. Obviously, there are a plethora of options available and you can choose whatever suits you the best. All that you need to do is gear up for nothing but making your experience count and have moments worth remembering. Vacations aren't boring at all if you use them wisely. All it takes is a nicely laid plan and an urge to align things as decided.

Happy vacations!!

Since the lockdown has started, everything is going up and down. And with work from home option, personally I feel that I went from superactive to superlazy?. So I got myself into my old hobby that I used to do in college time, Gaming.
So I started playing games, again, as well as started a new channel on YT. And always searching for new content as per the requirements of public. This keeps me active and engaged from unnecessary laziness. And the above mentioned options, I am doing those as well apart from my gaming.

Well, thanks to the author of the article for suggesting some more to try.

Peace ✌
