How to fight depression?

A talented, young, vibrant, and versatile actor, Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on 14th June 2020 just at the age of 34! His acting in roles like M.S. Dhoni, where he played the character of famous Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, will forever remain engraved in our hearts. Sushant had everything in life- fame, money, success, you name it, and he had it! Then what went so wrong that he committed suicide? Yes, it's hard to believe, but he was found hanging in his bedroom on the morning of death. The entire Bollywood is in shock at his demise.

What do we learn here? Mental health is of utmost importance in today's era. We all emphasize the maintenance of physical health all the time, but what about mental fitness? In today's digital world, stigma is still attached to the issue of mental health! It's time to break open. If a person faces depression or psychological trauma, then he needs help, and that's ok. It's fine to seek advice to look after yourself!

Communicate! Yes, guys, communication is the key. If you ever feel down or lonely, remember you should always share. Discuss it with your parents, friends, family, or anybody you lay your trust on. But do share your feelings. You may feel disappointed, sad, confused, but venting out your emotions, always puts you in a better mood. And who knows the person you confide in may give a solution to your problem! Also, sometimes medical help is required. Don't hesitate to consult a doctor; your fitness depends on your thinking. You deserve that peace of mind and happiness, so stop thinking about what others will say and only focus on yourself.

Stay focused! This might sound weird that how do we stay focused when we are feeling depressed? But you read it right, my friends, stay focused. Always, introspect and try to find the root cause of why the problem began? If you focus only on the issue and not look into the reason, you will not be able to find a solution for it.

Be a fighter, not a quitter. Do you know what the easiest thing to do in life is? The answer is: to give up! Yeah, I mean, how many times have you taken those new year resolutions, but how many have you achieved? So, now you connect with my thought that it is very convenient to give up on things. Every creature in this universe doesn't like to leave its comfort zone. We have built up so many walls of comfort; if life knocks down one or two of these protective walls, we feel depressed. We think that it is the end of the world for us. But hold on, don't tough times make us a more reliable and better version of ourselves? Of course, they do! So, guys, fight like you own the problem.

Feel gratitude. We worry about the future, the failures, the success, and the marriage, but are we even sure of our next moment? Always be thankful to God, almighty, for every breath you take. Being grateful makes you feel content. And a person who is content is also peaceful from within.

There is an old saying, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade." But why only make lemonade? Drink every sip of it, and instead enjoy every sip of it!

Stay happy and motivated! Always.
