The outbreak of Coronavirus is the burning one, the last twelve months in the 2020 pre-Covid era have been very tough although, thanks to the technology which played a vital role helps us “stay connected remotely” and get us out of this crisis to the optimum level.

Technology and travel became the perfect combination and rightly said a “joint venture” which aims to provide seamless personalized travel experiences to the passengers.

COVID-19 has inspired industries to examine various kinds of technological enhancements. The innovation of new touch-less technology has proven to be revolutionary for today’s post-Covid travel. The world’s leading specialist in air transport communication and information technology SITA disclosed in the survey report called “Air Transport IT Insights 2020” that contactless technology remains a high investment priority nowadays and in the upcoming years as well.

Mobile Technology and High-speed Internet

Undoubtedly the cell phone has become our tour guide, travel partner, navigator, or rightly said an “Encyclopaedia” for everything that we are looking for. According to the study of Trip Advisors, about 50% of users worldwide use their smartphones to plan or book their trips. Travel technology becomes more powerful with the help of 5th generation technology (5G), this network provides more capacity, faster response times, and faster speed (download and upload) in comparison to the current 4G network. Apart from the faster connectivity, 5G networks also provide intelligent connectivity using artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, big data, Internet of Things (IoT), and other platforms as well.

Digital travel and Health pass which is another enhancement of contactless technology objective to secure accurate information on passenger’s COVID-19 health status and other necessary documents required during the time of travel.

On a wider note, all technologies discussed above have their pros and cons, whether old or new, it is an ongoing process of transformation in the modern robotic world. As time passes with the usages, things are getting clear and better.
