HOW IMPORTANT IS PROMOTING CULTURE?

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT is the simplest answer to the question. Before knowing how to let us first understand what culture actually means.

The word CULTURE

CULTURE is a derivation from the Latin word colere, which means nurture and cultivation. From a broader perspective, culture is the behavioral interaction of a group of people regarding religion, languages, music, arts, food, and many more. This interaction pattern is unique to the group of people, which may constitute a valley, a village, a district, a city, a country, or a particular continent. The Eastern Culture

This term refers to interactive patterns and norms of people in East Asian countries, including Pakistan. At an early age, Eastern culture has been impacted by rice harvesting. From Karachi's shores to the mountain peaks of the Himalayas, Pakistan is rich in historical sites that are its identity. The presence of these sites indicates the people’s link to the past, and their preservation will strengthen the link in the future. Cultural promotional events such as exhibitions held at expo centers have become flagship trade events. Products from different industries kept together on a single platform have attracted over nine hundred buyers from eighty-five countries in recent times.

Tourism is the third-largest export area in the world. For Pakistan, too, it has been a sector that has gained much attention from the rulers. The picnic points, archeological sites, adventurous spots, musical concerts in different languages, delicious specific dishes, numerous sports events, and much more that has been promoted through print and social media in Pakistan has tempted large numbers across the world to visit at least once. The revenue generated as a result has had a positive impact on the country’s economy. More promotions will ensure even more economic growth.        

  • Development of infrastructure and improved transport

Once the tourism is on the increase, it will ultimately lead to infrastructural development. When visiting the country’s archeological sites and tourist spots, tourists from all over the world will require the best possible transport facilities. The road network that Pakistan has developed over the years and an increase in the transport sector’s investment are worth mentioning in this case.

  • Growth of cottage industries

Pakistan is enriched with jewels of talent residing in developed urban cities and distant rural areas. The handwoven crafts, bags, and shawls highlight the immaculate skills that the country’s rural women possess. Exhibiting these products on a global scale will attract buyers, increasing the growth of these cottage industries a great deal. This will, in turn, lead to the betterment of infrastructure and transport facilities in the area ensuring human well-being.

  • Poverty Reduction

The above-mentioned points, when followed, will all lead to a reduction in poverty levels of the country. This will be because of men getting increased employment opportunities and creating equal opportunities for women, even if they are not so educated but extremely skilled.
