Heath Ledger Incredible Acting in Joker Role

The joker is a comic book appearances and joker is portrayed as a psychopathic and mass murderer, and criminal thoughts. May of actors played Joker role in a lot of movies, but undoubtedly the Dart Knight Joker role received tremendous response. The Dark Knight movie released in 2008 and it’s a blockbuster movie in that year. Joker role was played an Australian actor Heath Ledger, The Dark Knight will go down in film history as one of the most iconic, menacing performances of all time, let alone a portrayal of the infamous Batman villain The Joker. Ledger’s dedication towards his work has earned the respect of the whole film fraternity and it’s unfortunate that the actor passed away before reaching many other career milestones. Heath Ledger once said “Everyone you meet always asks if you have a career, are married or own a house as if life was some kind of grocery list, but no one ever asks you if are happy.”

Heath was born to Kim and Sally Ledger, in Perth, Australia, on the 4th of April, 1979. While his mother was a teacher who taught French, his father pursued a career in race car driving. When he was hardly 17 years old, Heath discontinued his studies to pursue a career in acting. Almost immediately, he bagged the role of a gay man in the 1996 television series named ‘Sweat’. In 1997, two opportunities came knocking at Ledger’s door in the form of ‘Roar’ and ‘Home and Away’. While ‘Roar’ was a fantasy action adventure series, ‘Home and Away’ were a soap opera targeted at Australian audiences. Heath Ledger was first approached to play the batman character, but Heath declined the offer. He was saying I would never take part in a superhero film, but after watching Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins he was convinced he had to play the joker in the sequel. Heath told his agent that he knew exactly how to play the role and to just get him in a room with Christopher Nolan. The vision was solidified and Ledger was cast before the script was even written Heath locked himself in a room for 6 weeks to prepare for the role. I sat around in a hotel room for about a month experimented with voices to find an iconic voice and laugh; i ended up landing in more in the realm of a psychopath. Heath purposely messed up his make up to make it feel more psychopathic, the look of the joker was starting to take shape and finally the perfect antagonist was born. His performance on set was so powerful that is started Michel Caine at a point he forgot his lines, overwhelmed by Ledger’s appearance as the character and Heath encouraged Christian bale to hit him real in the altercation scene.The Dark Knight movie while filming Heath told the New York Times about his struggle with insomnia. Heath said I couldn’t stop thinking my body was exhausted and my mind was still going. He started taking Ambien to help with his sleep after the movie was done, Heath said it was the most passionate he felt about a character. Unfortunately, he didn’t live long enough to see it.In January 2008 Heath Ledger was found dead in his loft, fans all around the world started grieving rumours started to spread that the role he played as the joker had caused his death. Heath ledger was dying an accidental overdose of prescription pills, Heath said once “in their last moments people show you who they really are and that’s exactly what he did. Heath Ledger won an academy award for his performance in the Dark Knight, a rare achievement for the antagonist role and left a legacy that will not be forgotten. Ledger received more than thirty posthumous accolades for his critically acclaimed performance as the Joker.
