heart-attack

Nowadays heart attack has become a common disease. Nearly 40% of people die due to this problem. But still, we are so busy that we never thought about what can cause this issue. Today we will tell u about the disease and what are the causes and treatments. Let's first understand the cause?Heart  attack is caused due to complete blockage of one of the blood vessels of the heart ( coronary arteries) due to which there is no blood or oxygen supply to that part of the heart and this causes the death of the affected part of the heart muscle. The heart now starts beating irregularly. A heart attack is a serious condition and can lead to death. Now let's talk about the sign and symptoms (things which a casualty feels and the one who is treating sees). Firstly there is a typical radiating chest pain that can begin in the left or the right side of the heart, radiating to the left arm/left forearm up to the ring and little finger, sometimes may radiate to the neck, upper back, and upper abdomen. Secondly excessive sweating, nausea , vomiting, breathlessness, restlessness, and most importantly irregular pulse to be seen.

Now let's talk about the treatment:-

oxygen is to be given as it says that due to blockage oxygen fails to reach the heart so the first thing is to rule out the oxygen supply.

Now there is a medicine known as Sorbitrate that is to be given but sublingually means we have to keep it below our tongue. This medicine helps in dilating the arteries of the heart. This can be given to both conscious and unconscious. Precautions to be taken while giving this the person Who is conscious should be sitting as this causes throbbing headache ? ice packs to be given to lower down the pain. No painkillers to be given for headache.

The last thing is to give disprin dissolved in water as it thins the blood. But this medicine can only be given to a conscious casualty, not to unconscious one. After this is given take care of the passengers as it lowers down the blood pressure.
