It was winter and the weather was cold and cosy.. I got up from my sleep and grabbed a cup of coffee. I and my sister were staying in a rented apartment which was really a good place and we liked it a lot. It made us feel like our own house and it had been 3 years we were staying there. I was reading newspaper when i heard a knock at the door and it was our flat owner who looked very upset and short on words as he was not able to speak much.. I asked him as what's wrong and if anything is bothering him. He replied Yes, he wants to sell the flat immediately and wants us to leave in a week. I was shocked as we had our exams and were already tied up with hell lot of work. I and my sister tried to convince him but the owner had made up his mind, he said we have a week to leave and pack our bags..
It was clear that we had to see a motel where we can stay for few days till we finish our exams but then from no where my eyes went on the newspaper kept on the table and i saw an ad which stated 1BHK available for rent.. I immediately called the cell number listed on the advertisement and spoke to a broker by name Joy. We got the deal done and he gave us a very good flat with open balcony and 2 bed rooms just for 10000 INR a month. That's really less and we were like wow!!! That's a really good offer. I will never forget the name of the apartment my whole life as it was the first scariest experience.
The Anchorage apartments build 20 years ago with a serene view and also a strong negative aura. Yes I said it right.. when me and my sister entered we overlooked a lot of things such as the number of families staying there.. no security guards and also the lift which was shut down I guess since an year. We got the flat at 1st floor so it did not matter for us whether the lift was working or not but yes I asked the broker and he gave us a lame reason saying the society's maintenance is too high and people have not paid their dues since long as a result the lift and the pool is shut down. We both were fine with it and told the broker that we can stay here for an year and made the agreement done for 12 months.
Night 1 : We both were super tired and my sister dozed off early by 10 in the bedroom. I was watching TV in the hall and did not realise when my eyes shut and I started snoring.. suddenly I heard a giggle of a young girl which came from the kitchen.. i was tired and had no strength to go in the kitchen and see but then suddenly I saw a girl running very fast dressed in a rajasthani attire ( a traditional dress with mirrors on the dress ) dark red color and as she ran I could hear the sound of chime kind which the girls wear at the ankle.. she went so fast that by the time I could open my eyes wide and blink she was not there.
I immediately shouted my sister's name Roma, Roma Roma get up and she came running towards me and got scared seeing me in a panic state.. I couldn't speak but somehow I explained her about the young girl I saw in a red dress and she running from the kitchen to the bedroom.. my sister was worried as it was cold and winter and in such a weather I was sweating like anything. She told me it might be a nightmare and asked me to sleep. She laid in the hall on the couch and we spent the whole night just awake chit chatting about our past so that we don't feel scared.
Night 2: Long day at college I was too tired and reached home at 11 pm at night. I called my sister and asked her if she wanted something to eat as I was ordering food online. I ordered chicken burger and BBQ chicken wings. I kept the chicken wings and burger in the kitchen and took my blanket and was lying on the Sofa. Watching TV when I got sleep I did not realise and got up to drink water when I checked it was 1 AM.
I saw my fone and my sister had messaged that she is going for a girl's nightout and will be coming home in the morning. With my phone in my hand i went to the kitchen when I saw the burger and wings were smelling as if the food had gone stale. I opened the box in which I had kept the chicken wings and it was smelling like shit and i puked out... When I went to the washroom to clean my face it was the same girl I saw in the passage standing still and just starring at me . This time I saw her face and I cannot forget the face and smile she had. I got scared but I shouted with a higher pitch Who the fuck are you and how did you came inside ?? She was giggling and when I went a little ahead towards her is when her eyes.... Ohhh shit mann her eyes became completely black.. her pupils had taken the complete shape of her eyes and it had turned dark black.. she immediately started running towards me and I shouted like it was my last day and I could see her running fast towards me with the black eyes and the sly smile and just then a loud noise in my ears like a girl is falling from the roof top I heard and fainted.
When I got up I saw myself on the sofa with my sister and her friends next to me waiting for me to get up. All of a sudden my body temperature went 100 degrees and I was down with high fever. As soon as I saw my sister I couldn't control my tears and i remember telling her i felt it was my last day and i was going to die. I felt like someone wanted me to feel the pain and see how it feels.. my sister was too worried to see my like this and her friends were scared too. We both dint want mom and dad to get scared and upset so thought to handle this matter ourselves.. while discussing what happened to me one of my sister's friend said that she knows a person who can sense and feel the negative spirits and if something is wrong with a person.. with not much faith i went with my sister's friend who took us to a small village which was around 200 kms far away from city.
On my journey i was just thinking why me? and why all this bullshit crap happening all of sudden.. everything was going supa cool and now I find myself helpless, scared and living in fear....We reached the village called "KHED" and we entered a small house made of stones. I met a old man who was blind and could not see.. as soon as I entered and sat next to him he said -- I know why you are here son.. i know it all.. you do not have to worry.. it's not you but it's the house where you are staying..
He said that he would like to see the house and came with us in the car. As soon as we reached Pune and he got down from the car he started making weird sounds as if he is feeling cold... A bit of shivering and his legs finding it hard to push himself towards the building. I and my sister escorted him in the flat and made him sat on the sofa. He then said to leave him alone for whole night and to lock the door from outside. We all were scared as he is blind and if anything happens to him. He said to have faith in GOD and that nothing will happen to him.. we all were scared but did as he said. He was alone in the house and we locked the door from outside.
The next day in morning we all went to the flat and unlocked the door. The old man was in the balcony and he said destiny cannot be changed.. and KARMA is what pays back... We all did not understand what he is trying to say.. the blind old man asked me to take him to the 10th floor so we went climbing the stairs and finally reached. I asked him what's wrong and what has happened here.. he was quiet for a min and told me that he has to meet the owner of the building.. the builder who has constructed this apartment. I explained him it's 20 years old construction and how can we find the builder now.. he said do whatever u can but he needs to talk to the builder as soon as possible orelse he said my life is in danger.
I got scared and told him will try. My sister and me meanwhile went to stay at a Motel. After a weeks search I finally convinced the same builder who had constructed the building to have a meeting with us. He agreed and one fine Sunday the builder came to the same flat and me, my sister and the old blind man were waiting for him.. The builder was initially rude and gave us only 5 mins as he had lot of work to do and started arguing stating we wasted his precious time on calling him for no reason.. when he was arguing the blind man immediately stopped him and told him what u did to that young girl ? He was shocked and showed as if he doesn't know what the old man was talking.. the blind man then said there was a young girl who was working here at the construction site.. while working at the life she slipped and fell down from 10th floor.
You burried her in the garden and did not even informed her parents. Why???????????
I was shocked. The builder started sweating and did not accept on what the blind man just said. The builder said that we are trying to scare him and take money out from his pockets. While these talks were happening the blind man said ok If you don't know what i am talking about... I will call the police and tell them to dig the garden area of the apartment and if they find a corpse their you go jail..... It was just this dialog that the blind man said the builder got scared and went on his knees.. he said to forgive him and not to involve the cops. He then said the full story of this young girl who fell down while working and he gave money to the security guards who then burried her in the garden and nobody knew about it.. the parents of the young girl were very poor so they kept searching but had no money so left the girl thinking she ran away.. the poor soul was so angry that she never let any security guard work in the apartment and they all left the job.. the lift never worked because the girl had cursed the place. She felt left alone as even her parents had left hope of searching for her. We informed the cops and they then burried the garden area and we did proper funeral for the girl's body.
After all this I ask the blind man why me???? Why it all happened with me and i Saw the girl and me coming to this apartment .. it did not make any sense to me. When i said this to the blind man he just smiled and said it's Destiny Son.. God could not see this one soul on earth in pain so he planned the destiny in such a way that you read the newspaper and you the see the advertisement... Your previous owner asking you to leave the flat in a week... You and your sister selecting Anchorage apartments to stay.. you seeing the young girl who wanted to communicate so that we find her body and do the proper rituals so that her soul rests in peace..
Trust me guys the story though seems a good ending but the spirit I saw the eyes I saw the experience I got.. i would just say that " THEY DO EXISTS"
