Fit India A movement for healthier India

Being healthy and fit in simple terms means taking good care of the body. We should remember that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Good health of both mind and body helps in maintaining the required energy level to achieve success in life.

Protecting your body from the intake of harmfull substances, doing regular exercise, having proper food and sleep are some crucial instances that define a healthy lifestyle. Being fit allows us to perform our activities without being lethargic, restless, or tired.

Generally, a healthy diet consists of taking proper and healthy food, which includes eating green and fresh vegetables, fruits, having milk, eggs, minerals, proteins, and vitamins essential for a human's lifestyle. Practicing yoga, including regular exercise in your daily routine, also helps you in maintaining your desired fitness, blood sugar, and immunity level.

During the "man ki Baat" program on 25th March 2018, prime minister Narendra Modi gave a clarion call for a "Fit India" a movement to take the nation forward on the path of fitness and wellness. The Fit India movement provides a unique and exciting opportunity to work towards healthier India. As a part of the campaign, individuals and organizations can undertake various efforts for their health and well-being as well as for the health and well-being of fellow Indians.
