Drug connections in Bollywood have been under discussion for the last several days. The NCB also conducted intensive interrogation of stars like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, and Shraddha Kapoor. Now actor Akshay Kumar has given his reaction to the issue. Akshay Kumar posted a video and wrote that- I had something on my mind for a long time, but could not understand what to say. Today I thought I should share something with you #directdils.
In the video, Akshay Kumar is saying, "Today I am talking to you with a heavy heart. There was a lot going on in my mind over the last few weeks to say something, but there was so much negativity on every side that I didn’t understand what, how much and who to talk about. Even though we are stars, you have made Bollywood out of your love. We are not just an industry, we have taken our culture and our values to people in every corner of the world through films.
‘Whenever it comes to the feelings of the people of our country, whatever you feel, the films have tried to show it for so many years. Whether it is the anger of the British, or corruption, poverty, unemployment, cinema has tried to show its own way on all these issues.
Akshay further said- ‘In such a situation if anger comes to your mind today, we take that anger on our head. Many such issues have come up after the sudden demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. Who has given us as much sorrow as all of you? These issues tell us to focus on our own duty. Our film industry is forced to look at many such mistakes, which need to be addressed. Nowadays there is talk of narcotics and drugs. How can I lie to you today with my hands on my heart that this problem does not exist? Definitely does. As it has been happening in every industry and in every business. But it's not like every human being in every business is involved, it's just that kind of thing.
Akshay said, "I believe that whatever the law enforcement, the authorities, and the court are investigating, whatever action is being taken, it would be very appropriate." And I also know that everyone in the film industry will be cooperating fully with them. But I join hands and say don't do that or look at the whole of Bollywood in the same way at a glance. This is not right. This is wrong. '
I have always believed in the power of the media, if the media does not raise the right issues at the right time, many people will not get a voice and many will not be human. I urge the media to keep raising their voice, but please be a little more sensitive. Because a piece of negative news turns the water on a person’s years of respect and work and hard work. In the end, I will give people the same message that you all made us. We will not let your faith go. We will work harder if you have any grievances. Your love and faith will win us over.
