I am sure you must have thought about these common questions at some point in your life. Maybe many of you know the answer better. But, Today, in this article, I will try to answer this standard day to day questions related to our life. So let's discuss the answer!

Why do people Snore in their Sleep?

Because something is keeping the air from moving freely through the passages behind their noses and mouths. Maybe they have bad sleep posture, or maybe they have put on weight or have a sinus infection. Sometimes, Snoring is brought on by age. Whatever the reason, snoring can get loud. A woman in England once snored loud enough to drown out the sound of a low- flying passenger plane! ??

Scientists aren't sure. Studies suggest that dreams help us cope up with bad and painful memories. Dreaming might also make us smarter and more creative during our waking hours. So, if you are feeling drained - Grabbing 40 winks and a few vivid dreams might recharge your brain.

Can we control our Dreams?

Sleep experts say we can seize control of our dreams and do all sorts of fantastic things- fly, relive our favorite memories, eat a mountain of ice-cream, but only after we realize we're dreaming. Achieving this deep sleep state is known as lucid dreaming, isn't easy. Sleep researchers, meanwhile, are searching for methods of triggering dreams.

How long do I need to sleep before I start to Dream?

Dreams don't start until you reach a state called REM ( Rapid Eye Movement). Sleep roughly about 90 minutes after your head hits the pillow and experience yourself in the dreamy world.

Why do we need to Sleep?

Your waking hours are crammed with activities and tasks. Meetings, business deals, videogames, chemistry class, exams, family gatherings, etc. gives your noggin a real workout. All the processing causes chemicals to clutter your brain. A good night's sleep clears your head literally. While you snooze, your brain goes into the house-keeping mode, flushing the toxins and preparing itself for one more busy day ahead.

How much sleep do we need?

That depends on our age. Kids between 5 to 12 years need about 11 hours of sleep. Older kids and adults can get by with 7 to 8 hours.

What happens if we don't get enough sleep?

Doctors believe that a good night's sleep comes with many benefits, including improved creativity and mental sharpness. Avoid going to bed, and you will soon suffer the consequences:-

  • crankiness
  • clumsiness
  • makes you forgetful
  • can make you gain weight
  • ages your skin
  • even hallucination, if you miss a few days

Your brain will go on strike, and the easy task will become supremely difficult until you turn in and switch off.

How to Get a Good Night's Sleep?

  1. Keep to a sleep schedule. Set a bedtime and a wake-up time and stick to them.
  2. Relax with a book before bed, but don't keep your smartphone within reach. It's a certified sleep stopper.
  3. Don't fall asleep with the television on.
  4. Don't eat any big meals or chug any large drinks within 2 hours of bedtime.
  5. Getting plenty of sun exposure during the day helps you sleep properly at night. So, spend some waking hours outside!
