Diwali

Diwali is one of the biggest Indian festivals. The word Deepavali means rows of lighted lamps. It is the festival of lights and Hindus celebrate it with joy. During this festival people light up their houses and shops with diyas. They worship Lord Ganesha and Lordess Laxmi.

It is celebrated to mark the return of Lord Ram after 14 years of exile and his victory over demon Ravana. People clean their houses and shops.Relationships are strengthened by gifting gifts, sweets, juices, soan papadi, etc. The Diwali is ended by bursting crackers at night. But now it causing a lot to our environment. millions of people in India burst firecrackers at a rate at which the environment becomes so much smoky that it does not support life. The Indian government is working hard to ban firecrackers and bring the all-new green firecrackers which can reduce up to 70% of pollution caused by Diwali.

I personally liked Indian government efforts to protect the environment from crackers. We also must do for our environment as our government is trying to do so. It is our duty as a citizen of our world, country, state, town to protect our environment. The crackers amaze us for 1 to 2 hours and suffer us for a lifetime. I suggest everyone not to burn firecrackers. You can celebrate Diwali by decorating your houses, making good meals, wearing new clothes, playing games with siblings and family members. Doing Pooja at night to welcome Lordess Laxmi in our houses so that she brings wealth as she is known as the goddess of wealth.

Happiness is spread on Diwali by donating clothes, food, sweets to poor people who cannot celebrate Diwali due to poverty. Bring a smile on their faces and I guarantee you that your Diwali will go awesome. Try this and tell me how was your experience on this Diwali.
