 Online Marketing is also known as Internet Marketing. It refers to marketing & advertisement of product services via electronic commerce. In addition improvement to sales leads through websites or emails. Internet Marketing is the warder concept of Marketing. Which is getting into wed by the maximum number of entrepreneur for their. Product or services promotions. Radio, television, newspaper, & magazines are the traditional methods of advertising.

 

Internet Marketing can be categorised into three marketing segments and they are as follows:

  • Email Marketing
  • Social Media Marketing

 WEB Marketing: It Contains E-commerce websites,    Affiliate marketing websites, promotional or informative websites, Online advertising on search engines, and organic search engine results through search engine optimisation. (SEO)

 Email Marketing: It involves both advertising & promotional marketing through email messages to active & prospective consumers.

 

 Social Media Marketing: It involves both advertising & marketing which included viral marketing which efforts via social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, You tube & Snap tube.

 Search Engine Optimisation:  It includes the optimisation of loading pages within your website to increase the number of visitors.

 

Online Marketing or Internet Marketing is basically a set of tools methodologies used for promoting services & products via internet. Online Marketing elements than traditional business marketing due to the extra mediums & marketing mechanism available on the internet.

LIMITATIONS OF ONLINE MARKETING:

The nature of online marketing is not tangible, which means that consumers are unable to try out, or try on items they might wish to purchase. Online marketing has out old traditional advertising in recent years and becoming a high growth industry.

 WHAT IS PPL?

In a pay per lead (PPL) agreement, the advertiser pays for the lead generated at their destination site. No payments paid to visitors who don’t sign up. A lead is basically a sign up, which includes contact information and some demographic information, it is basically a non-cash conversion event.

*So many scams goes over the internet.

*Timing of updates are critical so it’s easy to have outdated information on your site.

*It’s a competitive market so you have to be unique from others to service in this market. So you have to be thorough with the products and services what consumers are looking for otherwise they will visit other websites for sure.

 

OFFLINE MARKETING:

Offline marketing is the traditional way of outdoor advertising which is done through the print media for example newspapers, magazines, flyers, booklets, television and radio advertisements and free offers.

 LIVE DEMONSTRATION: In marketing department a product demonstration or demo for short is a promotion where, the advertiser brings up their product in front of the consumers and show them how to use it or demonstrate it to the consumers. The goal of such live demonstration is to introduce customers to the product in aim of getting them to purchase that particular item.

BILLBOARDS ADVERTISEMENTS: It is a large outdoor board which is displaying advertisement (Hoarding). It is basically found in busy and traffic areas. Billboards present large advertisement to passing passengers and drivers.

TELEMARKETING: It is also known as inside sales or telesales because of it method of direct marketing in which a sales personal solicits prospective customer to buy product or services, may be on phone or via web conferencing or face to face appointment scheduled during the call.

GUERILLA MARKETING: It uses various techniques and practices in order to establish direct contact with the customer. It is the strategy to promote products and services on the streets or other public areas with little money. It is performed in marketing places like, shopping zone, parks, beaches, train, and buses to attract a large numbers of audience.

PRINT ADVERTISEMENT: In marketing term print advertisement means that those advertisements that appears in a newspaper or magazines, rather putting it on television, radio or internet. The use of effective typography is essential in print advertisement. Typography is art or skill of writing or technique of arranging type to make written languages legible and appealing when displayed.

WEATHER SIMULATION ROOM: In this type of advertisement artificial graphics are used to promote and advertise goods and services. Like WOODLAND COMPANY, AXE and many more.

MERITS OF OFFLINE MARKETING:

*You don’t need to spend money on internet connections. If your web server break down and your website is not accessible, you may lose many precious consumers.

*It very easy to ignore your site if it is not attractive so you have to be unique in online marketing.

*If you are giving someone a business card that they can touch and feel is not easy to ignore.

*The biggest advantage is that it is much easier to concentrate or participate on a local area. When you focus on your local area, you have better chance to understand that what local customer want.

* You will get immediate feedback from consumers.

*Face to face communication is more effective in business regarding deals.

DMERITS OF OFFLINE MARKETING:

*You can’t update your advertisement immediately. It will take time eg; you have given an advertisement on newspaper about your garage sale and you sell all your garage sale goods, suddenly few buyers come for the sale and got back home with empty hand, so you have to face some unhappy consumers. On the internet you can instantly update your page to let people know your garage sale is “sold out”.

*You can gather limited consumers, but online marketing is worldwide and you can gather unlimited consumers.

* It is not economic in nature. You have to pay for the advertisement you put in newspapers. Adding new products or sales pages to your website doesn’t create additional cost if you already have a website and a team.

*Specific market system can be targeted, but you cannot target individuals. For example you target young men. The advertisement may show some new collections of shirt. On the internet, new marketing skill can track what a viewer has looked and searched at and similar products.
