Dedicated to parents:Read before its too late(Autism)

"A worried mother does a better research then FBI" a little quote that describes my feelings toward this dilemma "Autism".

On internet you 'll find alot many definitions for this so-called disease "Autism". However, I would define it from my own perspective of what I have learnt about it and what I am doing to deal with it.

Firstly, Autism isn't a disease to be cured it's basically a condition or behaviours that differentiate a child from other typical kids. Although it's usually associated with childrens but if not treated properly it may develop your child to somewhat similar to adults having mental illnesses.

Being a mother of child having autism, I would suggest every parent to look for the basic symptoms or behaviours your child exibit. Do not take any undesired behaviour for granted, as the later you detect, the difficult it will be to overcome.

Basic symtoms to look for: Between 9th month to 18 months

  • Not responding on name
  • Not making sufficient eye contact
  • Not pointing to anything
  • Not reacting on your emotions
  • Not calling you by saying mama, baba
  • Dragging your hand towards the things they want
  • Not smiling at you when you smile at
  • Seems lost in their own thoughts
  • Doing something repeatedly without any obvious purpose
  • It seems they don't understand basic laguage like give me, take it etc.

And many more that can been seen by certified phycologist...but for you as a parent you must take these behaviours serious and seek urgent help.

Keep in mind, Typical kids at this age are very social (making eye contact constantly, pointing to objects they like, pointing to what they want, knows how to call mama etc, very intelligent in understanding others emotion and show reaction and many more)

Chances that your child may have autism are 80-90 percent, if he/she has above symptoms, Still its not necessary to have autism but he/she needs urgent evaluation and help. "Watch and see" approach is just wasting your child's time nothing more.
