The 44th Chess Olympiad Series

The 44th Chess Olympiad Series will be held from July 28 to August 10 in Chennai. More than 2,500 athletes from 187 countries will take part in it. The Government of Tamil Nadu has approved Rs. 92 crore for this competition. The Government of Tamil Nadu has set up a committee headed by a special officer to monitor the implementation of this series.

Special counter at the airport

It has been decided to open a special counter for the Chess Olympiad series at the Chennai airport as many number of foreign players, spectators, spectators and special guests are expected to arrive from next July. For this, special separate counters will be set up in all departments, including security and medicine.

Indian team

Indian team announced 4 teams have been announced for the Indian side to participate in the Chess Olympiad Series. Two men's teams and two women's teams have been announced. Among them are Pragyananda, a young Grand master from Tamil Nadu. It has been reported that the legendary player Viswanathan Anand will act as an advisor to this team. 

Chess Olympiad Flame

It has been reported that the flame will be introduced ahead of the Chess Olympiad series, similar to the Olympics. It is said that this flame started in India and was carried to other parts of the world. But due to lack of time in the current series, it is planned to take the flame only to other states in India. It has been reported that the game of chess can be popularized among the people.

Speaking on the occasion, Bharat Singh Chauhan, Director, Chess Olympiad, said that the dream has come true. The dream of hosting the Chess Olympiad in India has come true. He said the route and time of the firefight will be officially announced to everyone in a few more days.

44th Chess Olympiad Chief Minister MK Stalin's consultation today

The 44th International Chess Olympiad will be held at Chennai from July 28 to August 10. It is attended by more than 2,500 athletes from more than 200 countries. In this context, Chief Minister MK Stalin is scheduled to hold consultations today on preparations for the Chess Olympiad to be held in Chennai.

Olympiad Consults on the opening ceremony arrangements for the Olympiad Series. Also releasing the logo for the Chess Olympiad competition today. Secretary General His Excellency, Minister Meyyanathan, Secretary of Sports and the Chess Olympiad team are expected to participate in the consultation. So far, 197 countries have registered to participate in the Chess Olympiad to be held in Chennai. 

The International Chess Federation and All India Chess Federation have decided to introduce the Olympiad torch in these competitions. The announcement was made by the President of the International Chess Federation, the Director of the Olympiad, Bharat Singh Chauhan.

The torch will be introduced from the series in India, as the origin of the game of chess is believed to be India. It has been announced that this practice will be followed in the upcoming Olympiads. It has been announced that the Olympic torch will be lit in India for all current and future Olympiad series, just as it is traditionally mounted in Athens.
