How can Neymar Win Ballon d'Or This Year?

So, the young Brazilian star again became a hot topic after his recent performances in his club career. Another former Brazilian football star Kaka, stated his expectations on Neymar recently in an interview with AFP. Thus the debate started again that- 'Can Neymar prove himself worthy of Ballon d'Or this year?'Celebration After Scoring A Goal

HIS RECENT PERFORMANCES

Neymar da Silva Santos Junior who is known as Neymar Jr to all of us, is rising again after several injuries and suspensions. His subsequent performances in Ligue 1, Coupe de France, Coupe de La League, and UEFA champions league with the jersey of Paris-Saint-German is highlighting his uprising.

Out of 15 played matches in League 1, he scored 13 goals with six assists in the 2019-20 season. In coupe de France he played one match and scored one goal. He played two matches in Coupe de La League and scored one goal with one assist. In UEFA Champions League, which will be on the field again in the next month, he played four matches, assisted in 2 goals, and packed away three goals in his name.

Besides, after the interval due to the Corona Pandemic, he played one friendly match and scored two goals there.

OPINIONS ABOUT HIM

All of his good wishers and the fans are happy about him. Former Brazilian hotshot Kaka, who packed away the Ballon d'Or in the year 2007, is having high expectations on Neymar this year. In an interview with AFP, he said, "He is one of the best players in the world, there is no doubt about it. What he needs now is to win a team title and be one of the main protagonists of the achievement."

His team manager Thomas Tuchel in a press conference, said, "The best way of describing Neymar Jr is to watch the games, he is very decisive for us, he closes spaces, he defends. He is the leader we hoped for, and it is a really good time for him."

NARROW LUCK

It is a matter of sorrow that despite all expectations since he debuted in Santos, he could not achieve his goal.

Neymar in World Cup

Due to several injuries and suspensions, he had to remain out of the matches. In the 2014 World Cup due to the spinal injury, he could not play till the last game. In 2015 Copa America, he could not participate for the same reason. He came back again in the 2016 Rio Olympic and, for the first time, could get the gold medal in this event. But his luck is so narrow that in 2018 world cup he faced the ankle injury again.

In his club career also he was out of the game for his ankle injuries. In the 2019-20 season of League1, he could not participate in 13 games.

WHAT IS REQUIRED NOW?

First of all, he needs to overcome these injuries and suspension matters. He needs to follow the rules of the game accordingly and respect those.

Secondly, he needs to perform as one of the leading marksmen in achieving the club title. Although PSG won the League 1 title, which called an end due to the pandemic, they are still having several domestic league finals, including the Champions League, which will start again in August. So, he needs to try hard to achieve those.

And finally, it is required for him to continue his career in this way like he is going now. He also needs to take care of his career in his national jersey and create a good combination with his fellow teammates.

EXPECTATIONS

So, last, of all, we can expect that this living legend of Brazil will continue with full speed ahead like this.

After Kaka, the Ballon d'Or became a fight between Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo. In between, Luka Modric could pack it in the year 2018. But can Neymar break the flow again with his talents and recent form? This expectation and topic is a debate for all now.

Putting his best, this 28-year-old also wants to fulfill the dreams, hope, expectations of his nation as well as his fans throughout the whole world.
