India curve is similar to that of Belgium which to lockdown earlier. the growth case is linear, not exponential this indicates that the adopted strategies have succeeded in controlling the infection

Who are the most affected people due to lockdown?

As the covid virus spread recklessly over the country, there was no choice other than lockdown. Lockdown was 1st implemented in 25 march and it shocked the whole country . the whole country was locked down, no train no flight, no transportation facilities was there for the people of the country. only Medicinal facilities were allowed to run as usual. all the private and govt. offices were shut down, people were stuck in their house, many peoples were unemployed and many lost their lives due to hunger. the daily paid workers were the most affected community in this lockdown. They are not getting the jobs and hence there is no money with them to feed their family. The hotels are shut down and the workers in the hotels were now jobless. As the hotel is not working the owners are not managing to give salary to the workers. The bus drivers and conductors are not earning any single coin a day.

Loss of an educational year of the students

Due to a huge lockdown period all the schools and colleges were shut down and students were not allowed to go to the classes. As a result of it, a large period of 5 months is going in the waste of the students. The small children are affected the most. This was the upbringing period for them and to learn new things. But due to lockdown, they did not manage to go to school. Those who are in professional learning were facing a lot of problems. All the exams were canceled and it's a huge loss for the students. Many students prepare for one year or two years for entrance exams like NEET (UG), NEET(PG), IIT JEE MAINS, JEE ADVANCE, NISER, etc are facing a huge loss as the exam extended to an undefined period of time. This is a period when these children require strong mental support from their parents.

Steps were taken by the government

The government has done a great job in this critical situation. the government has prepared different boards for different areas. The govt has prepared more than 100000 ICU beds for the patients. all the states were instructed that "covid 19 patient" and related cases should be their first priority. ONn the state level the state govt is doing a padded work to stop the spread of the virus . The govt is distributing masks and hand sanitizers to poor people. Cooked food or raw food is been supplied to poor peoples. Numerous no. of quarantine beds are made in every panchayat level. A large achievement is that India has succeeded to make a testing kit in its own country in a very less price. Research works are going on to find the vaccine of this virus in many medical institutes. At the same time, India is also exporting a large amount of medicine to another country. the govt is planning to replace this lockdown to a partial lockdown in which some companies were allowed to open with some terms and conditions. this will help a little bit to bring up the economy of the country.

Huge drop in the economy

Due to this lockdown, all the companies were shut down and there is no production of goods and services. The market is totally blocked. the economy of the country has gone 10 years back. It is expected that there is a huge loss of 32,000 crores (US$ 4.5 BILLION) every single day of the lockdown. The small scale industries are facing a huge loss by this lockdown. The tourism sector is also in the loss of a huge loss. It will take a lot of time to bring up the economy to its original status.

Good news regarding the environment

As in a lockdown period a small amount and selected vehicles are allowed to travel on road the environment condition is returning to its original form It is reported that in the 1st phase of lockdown there is a reduction in the particulate matter by nearly half over the country. There is an overall 46% reduction in PM2.5 and a 50% reduction in PM10. The water of the river is much more fresh than it was before the lockdown. This is good news for us that the environment is healing itself.

INDIA is a densely populated country and if the virus is able to spread in this country then it will not be good news for the whole world. But fortunately, the country has managed to restrict the virus to a certain stage. people are supporting the decision of the government and everyone is hoping that this virus will surely be eradicated from the world.
