You must have heard about black holes. There are tones of videos on black holes, may be you have watched some and there's a whole movie on the concept of black hole 'Intersteller', if you haven't watched that movie yet make sure to check that movie out. Now let's get familiar with some basic facts about black holes, these are celestial objects which have strongest gravity in the known universe, even light can't escape when it reaches it's event horizon. Event horizon is basically a boundary between the universe and the never known internal area of the black holes, whatever happens inside the event horizon stays inside the event horizon. A fun fact we have a super massive back hole at the very centre of our 'milky way' and every galaxy have one at the centre. Stars revolve around them and our sun revolve around 'Sagittarius A' much like our earth and other planets revolve around the sun.
Now coming directly to the point what's wrong with the theory of singularity of black holes. It is believed that in this singularity the whole mass of the black hole is contained and it have only one dimension where all the laws of physics break. Wait, what all the laws of physics break!! Here's the problem, universe never allows something to break it's law not even black holes.
In 1998 an Indian scientist professor A.K. Mitra said the black holes which is known to everyone now days don't exist Instead of black hole he named the object eternally collapsing object. His reaserch paper was published in 2000by foundation of physics in which he explained the object as massive, millions of times hotter than the hottest star in the universe which have immense gravity that light can't escape it instead it gets sucked in. But this ECO(eternally collapsing object) do have little radiation coming out of it because this object have a strong magnetic field in his model therefore he named it magneto spheric eternally collapsing object.
Now what is this 'MECO', it's a star, may be a dark star coz it's dark, jokes apart it is a star with immense gravity but it's not totally like black holes we know instead it emits some radiation means photons can be emitted but more likely 1 in a trillion therefore it's totally black but the difference is it doesn't have singularity. It was proved by professor A.K. Mitra in his research paper and in 2006 it's observational evidence caught eyes of foreign scientists. QUASAR Q0957 first thought to be a black hole but then strong magnetic field of this object was detected then it sait to be a MECO. It was a strong evidence of MECO but it is very sad that Indian media never advertised his research instead after 6 years of him when Stephen hawking wrote there are no black holes then with the whole world Indian media advertised it. In 2014 an Australian radio channel made an interview with A.K. Mitra in which he described even Indians don't support there Indian scientists sadly.
So in conclusion, what we believe a black hole is don't exist Instead it's more likely a MECO.
