BEST APPS FOR ONLINE CLASSES FOR STUDENTS IN THE PANDEMIC

As we all know, due to this pandemic, most of the things have been disturbed, the education sector being at the top of the list. However, some of the schools and colleges have already started online classes to overcome this problem. Here’s the list of applications that can be used for conducting webinars.

  1. ZOOM CLOUD MEETINGS

This is the most widely used app in this pandemic period. It is effortless to use the app. You can use it for free to meet with one person for an unlimited period of time without a subscription, but for more than three participants in a single meeting, there’s a time limit of 40 minutes. You can use it for an unlimited period of time once u get the subscription done. There were some privacy issues with this app, so it has been banned in some countries.

It is basically an updated version of the Hangouts app. It is best suited for webinars and video conferencing. In this also, you have to opt for service plans, and depending upon the plan chosen, the number of participants is allowed. You can share your screen easily, and it also allows video conferencing by phone. It can be accessed on both iOS and Android, along with laptops. It provides access to a full complement of G Suite programs.

This app also allows the participants to collaborate and move their projects forward faster. It offers conference video and audio calling along with content sharing. It also offers a free trial with a free version, but to get all features of the app, you have to opt for a particular plan or subscription based on your requirements. It can be installed on Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad, androids.

This app has been recently launched by Reliance Jio and supported on all major supporting systems like Android, iOS, Windows 10, etc. It is available for free and provides many features like video calling with up to 100 participants, screen sharing, scheduled meetings, etc. The meetings can be locked or unlocked based on the requirements of participants and also on the meeting time schedule. Once the meeting has been locked, no more participants can join the meeting until the meeting is unlocked. All the other participants can be muted by the host all at once just by selecting mute all.

  1. gotowebinar APP

This app is very easy and simple to use. It provides a free demo and can be installed on Mac, Windows, Android, iPhone, iPad, etc. This app is good when you have a large crowd. It provides certain features like raising hand using an option for the participants who have been muted, after which they can be unmated and ask their doubts or could ive their point of reviews in between the webinars. Users can send private messages to one other or can also send messages in a webinar with the help of a chat option. Overall it is a good app as it is easy to use and also is less cheap as compared to other highly paid apps.
