Being yourself is a thing in which everybody is not good at. Searching for the secrets which are hiding inside you is the most difficult task. I personally refer the heart as a book, we read many books but when our death has arrived, we realize that we were failed to read our own heart, this is the worst and the most shameful moment. you can't be yourself if you don't know and accept yourself first. This should be your first priority.
Let us consider a person which in the last stages of his life, when he takes a look at his life's journal, even after he has accomplished many things, but he was fails in one which is showing the world his real inner identity and skills. The person is use to of wearing different masks for different situations. Even for every single moment there is a selective mask in his collection. The person simply ruins his personality and becomes the victim of selfishness and many more evils.
The person's living condition in spite of being luxurious is miserable. When he took a look inside his heart so it is completely empty like a hollow container which is full of wounds. In today's modern era in which technology his reached its heights people want to follow the trending things like a fashion without knowing it's good and adverse effects. The follow the old path that is being followed by centuries. Every single person in the world is blessed with a hidden talent, the only need is to discover it and implement it. If the person is failed in discovering himself so he has threatened his existence. He is considered to be living as a slave.
Simply the overall gist is that everyone should try to create his own identity, because the life is too short and a lot of work is to be done. Always remember don't try to impress others, because the people are never impressed by you. Let's suppose if you are successful in impressing them at this particular state you are considered as a fashion that is trending but always remember the fashion always changes. Try to do different things, choose a different path with full of determination, you will be succeeded and your name will be always remembered.
