Nowadays, people are getting OBESE.
WHY?
- The main reason for obesity is the increased consumption of Junk food and Street food, which contains a high amount of saturated fats and rancid oils.
- Eating excess sugar- Regularly eating too many sugary foods and beverages like candies, cakes, ice cream, and sweetened sugary drinks can cause an increase in your waistline.
- Having a Sedentary Lifestyle- Inactivity is the frequent contributor to weight gain and chronic diseases.
- You don't get enough sleep- Sleep is essential for overall health and well-being. Insufficient sleep may trigger weight gain and other adverse effects.
- Even excess Mental Stress leads to weight gain.
- I was eating too many calories.
- EFFECTS OF OBESITY-
- Obesity damages our immune system, which makes us prone to various diseases.
- Obesity results in various diseases like Type 2 diabetes
- The Diseases are- Heart diseases like Myocardial infarction
- High blood pressure
- Circulatory and nerve diseases
- Brain diseases like Stroke
- Blindness
- Impotence-Inability to perform sexual activity.
- Respiratory Disorder-People with obesity have reduced lung capacity.
- Various types of cancers
- Obesity is a vicious cycle once you are obese, your physical activity is reduced then results in obesity again.
- It gives limitations to your stamina.
- For those who are very fashion conscious or self, conscious obesity limits your fashion sense. Though everyone should be happy about their own body, obese people always are a little annoyed about themselves.
How to manage Obesity
- To reduce obesity, people should aim to lose body fat.
- For losing body fat 80% of dieting and 20% of exercise matters the most
- If you just exercise for 5hrs a day and then eat a large pizza, then the task turns to be just a waste.
- So a perfect diet can help you to reduce weight and body fat quickly.
- There are various types of diets that you can follow, like a keto diet or any other diet.
- Also, what matters is your Basal Metabolic Rate or BMR. If our BMR is high weight reduction is quick and vice-a-versa
- Here comes the role of exercise, exercise helps to increase BMR which in turn reduces weight
- Weight loss doesn't mean avoiding FOOD
- For weight, we should try to consume good fat rather than bad fat which would remove the bad fat in our body
- We should try to drink a lot of Dietary fiber. (cucumber, leafy vegetables)
- Eating Oatmeal would reduce weight loss.
- I am eating protein, which would increase muscles and reduce body fat.
- Drinking Lots of Water 3-4 liters (various according to weight)
- Drinking unsweetened Coffee which contains antioxidants
- Try consuming Green tea twice a day
- Calorie counting helps a lot for weight reduction
- Calories for men in a day is approx 2000, and for a female, it's 1750
- Try not to consume any alcoholic drinks.
- Eating less salty food is recommended as salt can retain water, which would increase water weight in the body.
