5 Pandemics and Epidemics that changed the history

Pandemics have always ruined the human population is a great way. We have been devastated by all these various pandemics that I am going to be mentioning. They have changed history in multiple ways. 

So here I mention the five most dangerous Pandemics that have occurred in history, which have brought a lot of deaths.

1. 1st cholera Pandemic ( 1817- 1824)

This was also known as the 1st Asiaticcholera during that time. It started in 1817 from the city of Calcutta and started spreading to various Asiatic and southeast countries to the middle east.  India has experienced cholera earlier, but this time, the pandemic spread to China and the vegetarian sea.

Thousands of people died due to this pandemic, including the British officers; there was a significant loss to human lives. It was the first pandemic that crossed and spread to so far from countries.

2. Small- Pox epidemic of the American Revolution

This epidemic was a deadly one as, during the revolutionary war, this epidemic was of more threat than the enemies. It was an epidemic that could kill one out of three infected persons. It started in the fall of 1775 in Boston the people who were affected were isolated The American Army was infected from this disease a lot of them had to be kept away in total isolation so that it does not spread further.

This smallpox threatened the destruction of the whole American army. Later in the year 1777, the disease was inoculated, and any army officers were saved from it.

3. Spanish Flu

This flu came in 1918; it came to be known as the deadliest pandemic in history as it killed nearly 50 million population world wide-sweeping. And it infected 500 million population in the whole world, which is on third of the human population. The flu was first discovered in Europe, the United States, and later spread to the whole world.

At that time, there was no proper vaccine or medicine to treat people from this flu as it directly infected the respiratory system of a human body. Schools, offices, Theaters all were closed, and people were asked to wear masks to save themselves from this flu.

4. Asia Flu Pandemic

This virus was originated in China and killed a whole lot of human population. It cured in the year 1957 as influenza that killed around 1.1 million population. It was known as the second deadliest influenza, and it was said that the virus was of mixed species. The children, old people, and pregnant women were infected the most from this virus. Later the rapid development of vaccine the outbreak came into control.

5. HIV Aids

It is considered a global pandemic. It was known to be developed in the democratic republic of Congo. In the 1980s, there were cases of healthy gay men suffering from a lung infection and some with cancer. It was later known to be transmitted through an infected Aids person to his partner through physical relationship. 

All these pandemics had affected a lot of human population. It has been deadly and caused many lives to death, but because of proper vaccines being available many of these pandemics were able to be treated.
