5 delicious summer smoothies for weight loss

Tips for preparation

The basic preparation of our summer smoothies is always the same: All ingredients are put into a mixer and this is switched on until the smoothie is really creamy.

Smoothies are generally easy to make, but there are a few tips to make them even better:

Use good equipment for blending

Only with a good blender * will the smoothie be really fine and creamy. You can also make smoothies with a hand blender, but the result won't be as good. Especially with green smoothies, the hand blender cannot chop the leafy vegetables finely enough.

Use high quality, mature ingredients

Your smoothie will taste better and sweeter if you use high-quality, ripe fruit and fresh, seasonal vegetables.

Pay attention to the order in preparation

It is best to first add fruits and vegetables and a dash of liquid and mix them through. Then you can see how much fluid you really need.

Some prefer the smoothie to be thicker, some thinner. So you can then pour in the amount of liquid that is optimal for you.

Tropical smoothie with mango

This summer smoothie tastes like a vacation. It is wonderfully creamy, filling well, and can therefore be used perfectly as a low-calorie breakfast, for example. As a smoothie bowl with a serving of sugar-free crunchy muesli, it also tastes fantastic.

Ingredients for 1 serving:

150g Mango

100g Pineapple

1/2 Banana

100g coconut water (coconut milk can also be used for more creaminess, but it contains many more calories)

Calorie content: ~ 220 kilocalories

Refreshing raspberry melon smoothie

For me, watermelon is THE summer fruit par excellence, which is why it must of course also be processed in a smoothie. The sweetish-sour raspberries and a splash of lemon make this smoothie wonderfully refreshing and therefore perfect for hot days.

I like to put a few more ice cubes in the blender, then the smoothie is ice cold and a great cooling with few calories.

Ingredients for 1 serving:

200g watermelon

150g raspberries

1 squirt of lemon juice

Mint leaves for serving

Optional: 4-5 ice cubes

Calorie content: ~ 140 kilocalories

Green Machine - summery power smoothie

As the name of the smoothie suggests, there are some great ingredients in it. It provides you with valuable micronutrients and, thanks to the flax seeds it contains, also unsaturated fatty acids and fiber. The avocado ensures even more healthy fats and particularly creamy consistency.

This smoothie is something different but still tastes slightly sweet and tasty thanks to the banana. The green smoothie is pleasantly cooling thanks to the cucumber and is therefore perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients for 1 serving:

1/4 cucumber

1 Banana

2 handfuls of baby spinach

Splash of lemon juice

1 teaspoon flaxseed

3 mint leaves

1/2 Avocado

Shot of water

Calorie content: ~ 250 kilocalories

Creamy apricot strawberry smoothie

This smoothie combines two regional fruits into one delicious, creamy drink. The smoothie also contains a little milk to make it even creamier. You are welcome to use milk alternatives for a vegan smoothie.

Ingredients for 1 serving:

150g apricots

200g strawberries

100g milk of your choice

Calorie content: ~ 180 kilocalories

Blue summer smoothie with blueberries

This smoothie especially impresses with its beautiful blue-violet color. It also tastes delicious and provides you with some healthy ingredients. This is mainly due to the blueberries, which contain numerous minerals, vitamins and phytochemicals.

Ingredients for 1 serving:

200g blueberries

Juice of one orange

2 tbsp Greek yogurt

Shot of water

Calorie content: ~ 130 kilocalories

Conclusion

These summer smoothies are deliciously refreshing and can sweeten hot summer days without supplying many calories.
