10 ways to keep yourself happy when you are feeling down.

There are times when you feel low, directionless, disappointed, hurt, & depressed. You feel like there is nothing left everything is just finished and you can’t do anything about it. You are lack of life, lack of smile and lack of positivity inside you.

Reasons may be many, as a failure in anything which you have planned, Got hurt because of something or someone, losing someone very close to your heart or disconnecting with them, career problems, family responsibilities, and so on.

It could be anything that is severely affecting you inside and you don’t know how to deal with it. In such situations, you start losing yourself bit by bit, and this may lead to anxiety, anger, depression, or even worst conditions.

You start losing confidence within yourself and start believing that you can’t do anything, and get easily affected by the people who continuously criticizing you for your failures.

Time is the most powerful healer and you should believe it. You are not going to suffer this current situation lifelong. Things will get better with the passing time it will never gonna be the same.

I believe that to feel good all starts within you. No matter how harsh the circumstances, if you feel happy inside, you can deal with any kind of situation very easily. All you have to do is stay strong and find your happiness in the little things around you.

Here I am going to share some easy ways which will make you happy and will boost up your mood. You can try some of these.

1. Cook something for your family:

Cooking is something which can easily improve your mood if you are feeling low. Cook something for your loved ones which they like and see the smiles on their faces when you serve them. You gonna love it. Don’t know cooking? Well, not a big deal at all. You can select and start with a simple dish and you can also take the help of the internet to ease your task. Trust me it will be fun.

2. Talk to someone:

When you are feeling low, meet the person with whom you shared your highs and lows, who is close to you and you can comfortably share anything with him/her. They may be your parents, relatives, best friend, or a close friend. Whoever you are comfortable sharing your feelings with. If the meeting is not possible for the moment you can call or chat with them to share your feeling. You will feel better.

3. Play with pets:

Play with your pet if you have any at your home. Take out some time from your daily schedule and spend it with them you will feel much better. A study shows that interacting and spending time with animals reduces your stress level and it will divert your mind from the current depressing situation and cheer your mood.

4. Write:

This is another exercise which will relax your mind. Try to maintain a personal diary on regular basis. What you have gone through all day, how was the day, what are the difficulties you faced, what are the good things that happened, etc. try to summarize all this in a few lines or paragraphs in your diary daily before going to bed. It is a good exercise for your memory and concentration and it will also improve your writing skills.

5. Read:

If you love reading, read your favorite books, novels, or magazines in your free time. You may also go through the articles of your favorite authors on the internet. Reading can engage your mind completely, and when you are reading your favorite stuff it can relax your senses too when you are feeling depressed.

6. Go for a walk:

You can take out some time from your daily routine and go out for a walk daily in the early morning if possible or in the evening. You can also listen to some good music of your choice while walking for a better experience. I will completely relax your mind and soul. Include walking in your daily routine.

7. Watch your favorite shows:

Watch your favorite shows, movies, or whatever you like the most on the television or the internet. If you love playing games then you can also go through the online gaming streams of your favorite games. You will feel much better and relaxed.

8. Eat sweet:

Eat something sweet like chocolate, cakes, pastries, or something of your preference. A study shows that eating this kind of stuff helps decrease your stress and anxiety level and relax your senses

9. Play games:

If you love playing games, whether indoor, outdoor, or any other mobile games, video games, etc. just go for it. You gonna enjoy this for sure. You may explore some new and trending games from the internet too. It’s the best way to boost up your mood instantly so you must try this one for sure.

10. Take pictures:

Get ready and go for an outing or hang out with your friends. Click pictures and selfies. It gonna chill your mood. When you click picture/selfie and share, it will make you happy. Taking selfies can enhance your mood and boost up your confidence.
