10 essential tips for healthy nails

We all dream of healthy nails! Without cracks, Without crevices and Without "small skins" Nothing but solidity and shine!

  • Be gentle with your cuticles

your cuticles are the basis of the health of your nails. If they look bad your nails are too.

Very important: Do not gnaw your small skins and do not cut them. If your cuticles are dry, pamper them with nourishing oil, like Essie lemony flutter oil.

  • Hydrate your hands

Use a nourishing cream, or in extreme cases, body butter. How would you like to make one yourself?

Mix 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon coconut oil, then apply the mixture to restore moisture.

Use a pair of gloves if your hands are immersed in water

  • Don't  bite your nails

Can't help it?

There are special foul-tasting varnishes that can help you rid of this bad habit. Consider cutting them short so the biting won't feel as satisfying.
What can also motivate you: Pamper yourself with a beautiful manicure, which you wouldn't want to spoil it

  • Forget the metal files

It is a thousand times better to file your nails than to cut them. In this way, they are less likely to crack. But be sure to use the correct file! The metal ones are too tough for your nails that could cause irreparable imperfection in the finish.

The best alternative: a glass or crystal file. They might be gentler, even can minimize chipping and peeling.

  • Always file in the same direction

There is no need to file your nails back and forth and back to the front. Always file them in the same direction. It will make them stronger and hence you can give them a particular share

  • Polish

Polishing is very good for your nails. It makes them beautiful and shiny! But watch out for the excess, even when it comes to polishing. If you do it too often your nails will become brittle

  • Use only your equipment

Buy your own manicure/pedicure set: scissors, files, and nail clippers. Maybe you don't mind sharing your tools with family or friends, but a fungal infection (that is fungi) spread much faster than you think. Yuck!

  • Have a good foundation

Before vanishing your nails, always apply a good basecoat. Preferably, containing ingredients with healing properties. By nourishing your nails in this way you will obtain a smooth surface on which to put your varnish.

Do you often use dark colors? All the more reason to start by applying a base that will prevent your nails from discoloration

  • Take vitamins

There is nothing wrong with wanting to give mother nature a little help. In pharmacies, you will find special vitamins which will improve the health of your nails and at the same time that of your skin and hair.

vitamins can help in healthy nail growth, further strengthening your brittle nails and diminishing change of pigment in nails.

Do not expect to have strong nails in two steps, three movements, but a good boost for the health of your nails

  • Banish acetone

If you polish your nails often, remove it with acetone-free remover. It is much softer for your nails and less likely to strip nails of their natural oils and eventually drying them out.
