Voice assistants are present in life many people and to introduce this technology in their home they are made with a smart speaker. Many companies have created their speaker, as is the case of Huawei and for the first time its smart speaker crosses the borders of China to enter the European market.
The Chinese giant is not allowed to step on so easily and as we have read on CNBC, its smart speaker will arrive in Europe, and therefore in Spain. We talk about Sound X, for the moment without the presence of a voice assistant in consequence of the US veto, although Huawei has said that it will create one later so as not to deprive users of this modality.
This device adds to the presentations with which Huawei surprised yesterday at its online event, as an alternative to the cancelled Mobile World Congress: the Mate Xs, its second smartphone with folding screen in book format, the new MateBook X Pro, its laptop with features premium and MatePad Pro, your new tablet with 5G connectivity.
Last year it was difficult for the Chinese giant and despite everything, Huawei has managed to maintain the type, the company being the one that sold the most 5G phones in 2019. The uncertainty is presented in the face of 2020 since its new devices will arrive without Google services Play, as is the case with Sound X, the smart speaker will launch without voice assistant, for now.
So neither the Google assistant nor Alexa will be included in the Huawei speaker. The Asian firm leaves no loose ends and has indicated that it will later develop its option in Europe. In China, intelligent assistance is provided by Xiaoyi. As for its features, it has 512 MB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage, volume controls and compatibility with other home automation systems.
Sound X has been created in association with the French firm Devialet, sound specialists. The device consists of two 60W subwoofer speakers - they allow low-tone audio frequencies - and six 48W speakers. These work to cancel any vibration in the device body. The objective of the companies was to create a 360-degree surround sound, capable of reaching a volume greater than that of the competition.
It will soon arrive in some European countries including Germany, France, Italy and Spain. Its sale price is unknown, although in China it is for sale for approximately 260 euros.
